This is my question for my 5th grade Science Fair project this year. I
have already tested 216 1st to 5th grade boys and girls in my school and
have judged their handwriting. I had them use their neatest handwriting to
write the sentence "This is a sample of my neatest handwriting." Two
judges scored the samples (I coded the papers so they didn't know if it was
from a boy or girl) on a scale from 1 to 5 with 1 being sloppy and 5 being
excellent. The results showed that one of the sexes has slightly better
handwriting over-all than the other sex (my hypothesis was right). I am
curious how you would answer this question and if your answer supports my
test results.

Thank you.
