Subject: Did hitler experiment with babies

I read somwhere a long time ago when I was just a kid that hitler tried to 
discover the language of the garden of eden by placing a group of new born 
babies together, allowing no verbal comunication with any adult in the 
hope that they would begin to comunicate amongst themselves, the result of 
this experiment was that all the children died. I can't remember if the 
thing I read was a work of fiction or non-fiction. Did this happen or am I 
remembering a silly story from a book?
