How do girraffes breathe or more to the point, how do they
ventilate their dead space! Do they generate massive tidal
volumes, and if so, how? Or do they have another trick? If I
took an arterial sample of blood from one of these long necked
fellows, how much CO2 would I find?
Nice beasts but what a strange design!!
