AS children, we are taught that there are 365 1/4 days in a year,
and therefore there are 366 days in a leap year. But recently I
read "Every year that is exactly divisible by 4 is a leap year,
except for years that are exactly divisible by 100; these
centurial years are leap years only if they are exactly divisible
by 400. Why?
Thank you
