Hey Danny...how are you?

Well itīs almost imposible to get a complete listing of every single
molecule in our body. First because there are millons of different ones
and besides...new compounds, molecules and mecanisms are being discovered
every day.

I knew someone (who had nothing else to do...:)who had made some sort of
list, but itīll never be complete. All you need to bare in mind is that we
are 70-75% water. Thatīs a simple one, and very complex indeed...:)

Then youīve got proteins, lipids and sugars which are the three large
"groups" of molecules you find in every single living creature. Thereīs a
fourth group: DNA and RNA which are essential, like a huge library where
data is kept. The human body follows a general pattern but shows
variations (of course, youīve got short and tall people, etc)

Billions of living cells make up your body...and each cell has specific
job to do to keep your body working properly. Similar cells combine into
tissues and different tissues into different organs which serve the needs
of one whole organism: YOU! (and your mom, dad, sister or pet too!)

All this we are talking about is far beyond our comprehension, you can
study for example how the nervous system controls the actions and
sensations of all the parts of your body, or whatīs the differnce between
necrosis and apoptosis?; what leads a cell to take one path or the other.
As you can see is huge...and complex, but thatīs why I chose this field of
study ...because it has no boundaries...:)

If you need more help of any kind, please feel free to ask.
Hope this will help (at least a bit) and promise Iīll send you the URL
with the listing (if I ever come across one!)

bye

Talia Arcari
