I know that putting salt on ice speeds up the melting rate BUT when I placed
one ice cube in salt water and one ice cube in tap water, the ice cube in salt
water took longer to melt despite the water temperature in both beakers being
the same. I was expecting the ice cube in salt water to melt more quickly.

Thank you for considering my question.

Martin.
