One set of connections that will work is shown in the attached sketch. The wiring behind the board connects the question with its correct answer, and when the loose wire or nail or whatever is used as a stylus touches the brad associated with the correct answer, it completes a circuit through the battery and the lamp.

When using a nine volt battery, of course, you must use a compatible nine volt lamp.
