Dear Mad Scientist

Can anyone help me understand the function and the works of the ailerons?
Outboard and inboard. Is it possible in ANY circumstances, ailerons can deflect
in the same direction at the same time (outside of the ‘droop’ parameters?) .
Do they work the same in the fly by wire configuration planes as in the
cable/pulley ones? What is the maximum angle the ailerons can deflect on a
typical passenger plane like the Boeing 757/767 or 777?

I know this primary flight control feature controls roll of the craft, but I
wonder if it has any other functions i.e: pitch control.

Would there be a difference in function/deflection of the ailerons in
passenger/commercial airplanes from the one in military/aerobatics crafts?

Thank you.
Sincerely
Dominique D.
