I've heard that children born to African-Americans may appear lighter at birth and then slowly dark over the next few days
until they reach their permanent pigmentation. I am curious as to why this would occur and if it applies to all children of a
darker skin color, such as Indian children? Neither research or my biology teacher was able to provide the answer.
