I enjoy eating my steaks rare and have always assumed that the juice contained was something other than blood. I was recently informed that it is blood and so is the juice on raw hamburger meat. I thought that when an animal was slaughtered the blood was completely drained from the body. Please help clear this us. I am going to a steakhouse tonight for dinner and intend on eating a juicy yet non bloody steak. Thanks
