I am researching aerodynamics, and I am trying to get an intuitive 
answer on how ground effect works for aircraft.  Helicopters in near 
ground hover, low-flying airplanes and Hovercraft all can experience 
gound effect, and it generates greater lift than otherwise possible.  
How?
