Another teacher and I are having a disagreement. Most biology diagrams show arteries in red print and veins in blue print. I thought that was just to show the difference visually, but really arteries and veins were not really different to look at. My colleague pointed out that our veins in our arms do LOOK blue--can you help us out? If this is confusing for us, surely it is confusing for our students, too.
