I would appreciate a simple response as I have to make a poster board with giant pictures/step by step analysis.  Hypothetical:

1.) Electrohydrolipids bond with dead lip cells by through ionic bonds.
2.) tongue licks lips and takes rough cells away.
3.) New lip cells grow.  

Any and all information provided is greatly apprecitated.  I have already written to multiple chapstick companies to no avail, so finding your website is a lifesaver!!!!
