Hi Brandon! I don't quite know what you mean by "no factory parts", since chips and wires are made in factories. There is a simple computer exhibited at the Boston Computer Museum built entirely from Tinker-toys wood parts. It plays a game of tic-tac-toe. Mark Sokos is working on a computer built entirely from TTL logic chips. This is one step above building a computer from bare transistors. See: M Sokos' scratch-build computer http://users.supernet.com/sokos/PAGE4.HTM If you want to build a small, simple computer for doing electronics projects, I recommend the Parallax "Stamp." It's a single-chip computer which you program using your PC (but you need no PC to run it.) You write your own software for it in Basic language. The websites are here: BASIC STAMP: getting started http://www.parallaxinc.com/html_files/getting_started/gettingstarted.htm List Of Stamp Applications http://www.hth.com/filelibrary/txtfiles/losa.txt Stamps In Class http://www.stampsinclass.com/
