I am doing a chemistry research assignment on a bacterial transformation procedure (Bacterial transformation, The pGLO system by www.bio-rad.com) which involves transforming bacteria with a pGLO plasmid. Since this is a chemistry assignment, I am to research the 'biochemical theory' behind this process. How do I research the chemistry behind transformation?? Also, has the pGLO plasmid been used in any real life situations??
