Re: How big can an atom get?
Is there a theoretical maximum size an atom can get? Is there a limit to
the number of protons, neutrons & electrons an atom can get, before it
becomes a physical impossibility? For example, would it be impossible to
find or artificially fabricate a substance containing atoms with something
like 2,000 protons & neutrons, and 1,000 electrons? How many electrons
can a single atom hold and still be stable? How many can it hold, if
unstable?
