I have been having a problem with frozen green beans burning in m microwave. They are Green Giant frozen mixed vegetables and I recently determined the salt to be the problem. They spark and catch fire but it's only the beans that do it and it's only if they've been ssalted. They turn black and if covered with a papertowel it too will catch on fire. I am cooking them in a microwave safe custard cup and am cooking them in such a small amount (they are for my 1 year old)that I usually don't cover them or add any water. I'm adding only a minute amount of salt and they start burning in less than 6 sec. I wind up throwing the bean out. Just wondering if there is some kind of chemical interaction between the beans and the salt that I should be aware of?
