My 7th grade class is studying the properties of water and why water is 
essential to life.  We did a lab on density of water at different 
temperatures.  This question was asked by a student:  
"Why do ice cubes crack when you put them into a glass of warm soda?"  We 
would certainly love to hear your answer!
