Subject: How do you make colloidall gold and platinum

I would like to know what equipment is required and the exact process.
I have been able to succesfully produce colloidal silver (electric process)
Coloidal gold is available from many internet sources,as is info on 
producing silver.
information on the electrical method of production of gold/platinum is non-
existent. Some information describes this as also being done by laser 
ablation (whatever this means)?
I have the neccesary qualifications and skill to handle any electronic 
description you may care to advise.
