The moon is, on average, 384,400 km from the Earth. Most horses range between 14 and 16 hands at the shoulders (a hand is 4 inches, or 10.2 centimeters). Therefore, the distance from the Earth to the moon is about 256,000,000 or 2.56 x 108 horses. A mole is defined by Avogadro's number as containing 6.02 x 1023 molecules. If we divide the latter by the former, we see that a mole of horses standing on each other shoulders could stretch to the moon and back 1.18 x 1015 or 1,180,000,000,000,000 or 1.18 quadrillion times. On the other hand, the distance from the Earth to the Sun is 150 million km, or 1 x 1011 horses, so a mole of horses could only make that round trip 3 x 1012 or 3,000,000,000,000 or 3 trillion times.

Maybe you should use a unit of measurement smaller than a horse...
