In a computer keyboard, the numeric keys in the keypad are arranged from bottom up whereas in a telephone instrument, the order is reversed except for the zero key. When you switch between a computer and a telephone for dialling telephone numbers you make mistakes on account of this difference. While computers and telephones are getting closer, how come there is no standardisation in the arrangement of the numeric keys?
