I want candles that are purely paraffin wax and stearic acid candles. The 
candes I have seen just say the scent and color.

Hi -
Contacting the manufacturer might be the easiest way to find out -- you
should be able to locate a website or customer service number on the
packaging that came with the candle. Otherwise, the melting points of
paraffin (~50°C for many paraffins, though check what kind it is as the
temperature can vary) vs ~70°C for stearic acid.
