Hi Yousif

Your inquiry can be answered by running a search on MEDLINE.

MEDLINE is an online database of all literature pertaining to
topics in medicine and the biological sciences. The NIH maintains
a database to search abstracts and citations back to 1966. Google's
Scholar service also allows searching of the full text of
scientific articles published online.

PUBMED: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/PubMed/
SCHOLAR: http://scholar.google.com/

As best I can tell, no head-to-head comparison has ever been performed in
vitro or in vivo to assess endorphin release after administration of a
quantified amount of capsicum (active ingredient in chilies) or theobromine
(active ingredient in chocolate).

You can locate the existing research, however, with the following searches
on SCHOLAR or PubMed:

   endorphin theobromine
   endorphin capsicum

Many articles can be downloaded online, else check your undegrad library
once you locate citations of interest.
Sincerely,

	Lynn Bry, Moderator MadSci Network
