Want to help The Madsci Network?

Would you like to help The Madsci Network with its experiment using a prototype of its next generation interface? If so, you're in the right place!

Often, you deal with complex questions that don't have simple answers. In this case, you might want to figure out how to think about the issues involved rather than just get a single answer as we normally see on The Madsci Network.

The Madsci Network Prototype Site is designed to you allow you to have a dialogue with both the scientists and your peers. Please feel free to visit the prototype and play with it as much as you like!

How to use the prototype

The Main Page

When you first visit the site, you'll be presented with the following main page:

Here, you can see the list of Questions are in the left navigation Pane, entitled Questions. You can see the details of the question and the Answers, Claims, Premises, and Sources that support the responses to the Questions.

1. Item 1 in the Screenshot: You can see the Login option in the Top Right (1 in the Screenshot above), You can choose your own username and password to both Register and Login.

2. Item 2 in the Screenshot: If you see the above screenshot, you can see the Question being asked in the Left Navigation Panel (2 in the Screenshot above), "What is meant when a person refers to positive and negative energy?".

   In the Top Middle Panel, you can see the responses to the Question, which, in this case, are 1 Claim and 2 Sources.

3. Item 3 in the Screenshot: You can use the Reply to add your own Answers, Claims, Premises, and Sources that support the responses to the Questions.
