I have found several articles describing what fiberoptic glass is in the form of the single strands used for technology. However, I am trying to find out how the large, decorative pieces are made. For instance, I have a bracelet made of "cat's eye" beads and an egg shaped piece of glass (1"x2") that are both referred to as fiberoptic glass. The information I have found on fiberoptics discuss the thin wires used for transmitting light. They do not explain how these very large versions are created. Are many strands melted together to create such a large piece and then cut into the shapes I have? Thank you for your time. (PS- my big sister wrote this for me)
