Hi Tommy,

The mouse was invented by one of the resident geniuses of computer science: one Doug Engelbart. Although many people mistakenly think the mouse was invented at Xerox PARC, the truth is that the mouse is just one of the many inventions that came out of Doug Engelbart's lab at the Stanford Research Institute (SRI) and became an integral part of our lives. The history of computing is absolutely fascinating and the biography of Engelbart is no exception; find out all about this prolific genius and his connections to the ubiquitious mice that scurry around our desktops at SV.Com's article on Doug Engelbart and the mouse. Give it a look... I'm sure you and your students will thoroughly enjoy researching this little nook of computer legend.

Happy reading,

Rick.
