How long does it take for food to pass through the entire digestive tract?  From 
the mouth to the rectum.  I was informed that it takes 21 hours and then I was 
told it takes 72 hours and then someone else told me it was 29 hours!  What is 
it really......omitting food that is high in fiber and such.  What's the 
average?
