Could you please tell me the mechanism by which lymphatic fluid is pumped around the body. Does the cysterna chylae act like the heart of the lymphatic system, being pumped by the aorta? or is osmosis solely responsible for the flow of lymphatics in the body? Thankyou for your help in this matter.
