Can anyone comment about how right- and left-handedness is
inherited? My son (2 1/2 years old) seems to prefer his left
hand for accomplishing certain tasks such as eating, though for
other things he prefers his right. My wife and I are both right-
handed. There are no lefties in my wife's family that we know
of, but my father's brother is left-handed (don't know about my
paternal grandparents). Is handedness a Mendelian characteristic
or are other factors involved? Thanks!!
