Wayde,
As best as I can tell, there is no solid evidence for handedness being
strictly a Mendelian trait. No one can deny the environmental/cultural
influences that exist which contribute to the development of handedness.
As a result, this trait is very difficult to analyze. But do not just take
my word on this. There is a good review of the literature on the genetics
of handedness at On-line Mendelian Inheritance in Man
