I have been told there was a Ham who worked for Heathkit back in the
50's (Bruce Taylor?) who developed an AM modulation method called
Taylor Modulation. From what I vaguely recall, it allowed very hight
positive peaks in modulation, but limited the negitive peaks and
didn't use a conventional modulation transformer. This was the
precursor to controled carrier modulation. I have tried for years to
find reference material about this method, and have only gotten the
vague memories from a few old time hams about the method. Any one who
has some tech data/ schematics with explinations would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks in advance. Mike Baker K0QZ
