This is a good question. There are many ways that you can get nutrition informtion. Look in the grocery store around the fruit & vegetable or meat cases; some stores have nutrition information displays.

There are several books that list food items and their nutritional analysis - probably the most common is "Bowes & Church's Food Values of Portions Commonly Used" by A.T. Pennington. Look for this at your local or school library or if your school has home ec/family & consumer sciences classes check with the teacher. Also, most nutrition text books include in the back graphs which contain this information.

And, finally, there are sources on the web. www.cyberdiet.com has this kind of information. Also, visit the web site of The American Dietetic Association - links from that site can help you. Once you begin to look for information, I think you will discover that a lot is avaible; you'll will just have to chose the method that works the best for you.
