First let me describe my experiment, it may be wrong in the first place.
I filled a glass with water and then poured salt into the glass. I hooked
two wires to a 9-volt battery and then I wound the other ends to two
pieces of graphite from a pencil. After a while some blue stuff formed.
Can you tell me what that is?
P.S. Does it matter what type of salt I was using?
