All separations of two substances that form hydrogen bonds between their
molecules are difficult. I suspect that the concentration of ethanoic acid
is done by a distillation and constant removal of the water. simple
boiling is unlikely to produce much in the way of conc acid. Crystal
growth can be accelarated by using a seed crystal and concentrated
solutions but faster growth often means poorer crystal shape.
