I typically pack a lunch which contains an apple and a banana.  More than 
once, the two have been touching one another (not actively) for several 
hours.  The result is a bruised spot on the apple.  I assume a chemical 
exchange and subsequent reaction takes place.  Any idea?  Thank you.
