MadSci Network: Chemistry |
I am a teacher taking a graduate conceptual chemistry course for teachers grades 4-9. I cannot find the answer to my question. Everything I have found is about oxidizing acids (agents). I believe the answer is that hydrogen gas is released. However, does anything happen to the metal? I am assuming since it is non-oxidizing that rust is not involved. It is part of my homework; but it "bugs" me that I could not find the answer.
