Sorry to say, tidal power is too dispersed to be of much
use.  True, there are a few locations where geological
formations manage to concentrate tidal power and make it
somewhat feasable (eg, Bay of Fundy, which is not
actually used, St.Loo in France, and some others) but
these sites are few and far between.  Add to this is the
irresistable power of the sea when Nature goes berserk.
Many man-made structures have yielded to storm seas.
