Subject: Is it better to obtain to a MS degree before going into a MD/PhD program?

Hi, I am a recent college grad with a BA in biochemistry. My GPA was okay but 
not nearly good enough I believe to get into a good grad program let alone an 
MD/PhD program. It was around 2.75. I know that I could have done better, and 
really want to be an MD/PhD. I have done numerous independent research projects 
and have worked extensively in research. Can you give me any advice on how to 
get into an MD/PhD program? Would a MS be a good way to start out?
