I am interested in testing the effects of hydrogen peroxide on human tissue for a science fair project in my high school. Is it possible to test the effects in a lab using a tissue culture, or is it necessary to use a living being to test those effects? If it isn't possible to test the effects on a tissue cultre, then is there something else I can use? Obviously I cannot use human subjects to test the effect of hydrogen peroxide on cuts or burns because it's harmful, so is there something, like an invertebrae animal, that would be good to use? Would it be close to the effects it would have on human tissue? Thanks for your time in answering...
