Hello all,

I have a trepanned skull, as the result of having acquired ADEM. I cannot get
any information as to whether this hole done in the surgical proceedure will
heal so as to close shut. The doctors removed a considerable amount of my
skull and then replaced it, but the initial hole a trepanned hole is, was about
1.5 cm in diameter.

Here is a photo with details of the brain samples taken.

I have looked everywhere on the net about it, and have yet to find any
references as to whether such holes close shut. Not even the neursurgeon can
tell me one way or another, though he says, or thought no. There would be no
further healing beyond a year or so.
