Cory, thanks for the question.

I am curious about why you think that magazine paper burns faster than writing paper. There are many variables that could explain the results that you saw.

I have answered several questions about paper burning for MadSci before. I would like you to read thi s answer about what makes different papers burn faster than others.

There are some other questions that might be interesting to you. What temperature does paper singe at? and What is the combustion temperature of paper?

If you have more specific questions that aren’t answered with the above links, please let me know.
