The first problem is that questions related to dinosaurs are only able to be answered using limited evidence and a lot of theory. The second problem is that a 'dinosaur' could be a very small animal to a very large animal and include a massive range of different beasts. Your primary question: " How could dinosaurs mate? " is answered well by your following message. My answer would be similar. They would mate in all the same ways as animals do today. Some may have been internal, and others external. The mating procedures would have varied according to physiology, environment and behavioural influences. If you are specific about a PARTICULAR dinosaur, then the question may have a definitive answer. Of course that level of knowledge is best searched via experts in the field.
