We camp on "rock" islands in Canadian Shield country in Ontario, Canada. Very
thick granite and some pine trees make up a typical island. Will lightning
strike pure rock? I can't imagine it being a good ground..the trees would be
more attractive, but under them is likely more rock. Where are we safe?
