My name is Devin Fensterheim. I am a sixth grader at Edgar School, Metuchen, New Jersey. I saw your page on the Internet saying that if someone has any questions, to contact you. I am working on an invention for my science fair project. I am inventing a candle alarm. When the candle gets below a certain point, the alarm will go off, preventing fires caused by candles. For this alarm, I am going to include a small box at the base of the candle. When the candle gets below this point, the temperature at the base will rise, causing the alarm to sound and a red light to flash. Inside the box will be a thermometer that converts the candle heat into electricity. When enough electricity from the heat is generated, the alarm will go off. I do not know how to build my thermometer which will convert the heat to electricity. I already did a lot of research, but I still can't figure out how to work it. Do you have any idea on where I can look for more information? Thankyou, Devin F.
