Message:
Is there an 'activity series' for hydrated salts? In other
words, would a certain anhydrous salt remove water from a
hydrated salt to form its own hydrate? Also, if two salts
that did not form hydrates undergo a double displacement
reaction to form one that does? Or would two hydrated salts
dissolved in water undergo a double displacement reaction to
form a salt that does not form a hydrate?
