  Using the equation, Kinetic energy is equal to one-half times mass times 
velocity squared, you can derive velocity, knowing the mass, and kinetic 
energy.  For alphas, of course the mass is  7294 units electron mass; the beta will only be one electron mass unit. One electron 
mass unit in this case being 9.1093897x10 -31 kg.  Good luck.  If you have
