Hi! I would like to know what effects lightning have on Electronic
equipment like my TV and computer. I am aware that when there is a
hit, we can normally see charring on the equipment it is
understandable that the Modem/Telephone lines and other cables served
as the path to ground. How about if there is no visible damage but
the equipment had stopped working, How can I determine that it is
from lightning? What caused it to fail? Has it something to do with
Electromagnetic Radiation? How about if my unit is off and cables
disconnected during a lightning storm and after which when you power
it on, it failed to work? How can I say that it is from lightning?

I got all sorts of questions in my mind but these from lightning kept
bugging me most. I'm looking forward to your answers.

More brain power to you all. Thanks
