I am doing a science project where I add solutions with varying pH 
levels to the water where microorganisms live and then test how long 
it takes them to die.  I would like to know more about how the pH 
level effects solutions and if chemicals in the substances can have a 
bigger influence on the microorganisms then the pH level.
