Message:
If a rotating garden sprinkler is immersed in water, and the water
sucked or drained away through the nozzles, which way will it turn, if
indeed it does turn? And more importantly, what is the explanation for
its behaviour? (I've tried asking a number of physicists this
question, and I cannot get a consensus opinion - only conflicting
answers. I very much hope you can help with this.)
