Yes, we speak of the coefficient of restitution, which is a
measure of how elastic a collision is.  Collisions that are
more elastic have less energy wasted in deforming the
colliding bodies and thus less energy wasted in heat.  A
soccer ball that is inflated more will deform less, lose
less energy to heat, and roll farther.
